One fatality in late-night N17 accident
The driver of the truck sustained no injuries during the collision.
One person sustained fatal injuries in a collision between a truck and a light motor vehicle on the N17 on Friday evening.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 11pm, they found a vehicle well alight partially wedged underneath a truck.

ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen says, “Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on scene.
“The truck driver sustained no injuries.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.”
