Hammer murder suspect case transferred to Springs Regional Court

After the alleged assault, the suspect fled first to Brakpan and then Richards Bay, where he was caught two weeks ago after he was recognised by an ex-policeman while selling home-made crucifixes at the traffic lights.

 

The hammer murder suspect remains in custody as his bail application hearing continues.

The man is accused of bludgeoning a man with a hammer last November. The victim who subsequently died in hospital.

His case has been transferred to the Springs Regional Court and he remains in custody at the Modderbee Correctional Facility.
