Hard loss for Springs Old Boys u-13s
As things stand, they are in sixth place, but could end up in the top three or four by the end of the season.
Benoni Northerns trashed the Springs Old Boys u-13s 3-0 at the Springs Old Boys soccer fields on Sunday morning.
The home side just couldn’t seem to connect and found all their efforts blocked by the visitors.
The u-13s will have to look closely to see where it went wrong for them after their promising start to the game.
Their defence needs to work on their man-on-man marking, as the visitors often found themselves with plenty of space from which to launch their attack.
Although the team lost 3-0, the goalkeeper made a few vital saves which saved the team’s blushes.
It must be noted the home team had plenty of supporters cheering them on, which was a boost to the boys.

The atmosphere was encouraging and the home team never stopped trying.
Benoni Northerns took their chances and punished the home side for their mistakes.
The u-13s will look to regroup after this loss and hopefully climb up the log.
