In response to queries about the ongoing closure of the library, metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe says: “The Springs Library is still closed.
“Students and learners are advised to use alternative libraries within the city in the meantime.”

When responding to the internet issue, Gadebe says patrons are not allowed in the library due to occupational health and safety issues.
“The city is in the process of acquiring a tender for appointing of a service provider,” concludes Gadebe.
