One man was killed and another left critically injured when a light motor vehicle rear-ended a truck at the Paul Kruger and 4th Avenue intersection on Sunday evening.
ER24 medics came across the incident at 10pm, finding the truck and light motor vehicle in one lane.
On closer inspection, medics found two men trapped inside the light motor vehicle.
Medics found that the driver of the light motor vehicle had already succumbed to his numerous injuries and he was declared dead on scene.

The male passenger was assessed and found to be in a critical condition.
“Medics carefully extricated the man, treated him and provided him with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to a nearby hospital.
“The driver of the truck escaped injury.
“Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” says ER24’s Russel Meiring.
