The community is invited to make use of this time of the year to spend time with senior citizens at Tsakane Old Age Home.
Tsakane –This time of the year means spending time with family and friends, but, for some, it can be depressing and lonely.
The community is invited to make use of this time of the year to spend time with senior citizens at Tsakane Old Age Home.

“We are welcoming the community to come spend time with our seniors as some are neglected by families, vulnerable and get lonely at this time of the year.
“They can come with a packet of sweets, it doesn’t have to be something big but those small gestures are widely welcomed and they make a huge difference,” says centre manager Phoko Mokubung.
He is encouraging the youth to contribute positively in the lives of the elderly.

“We are mostly encouraging the youth to also play an active role in the lives of our seniors.
“So far, the group we are working with has brought sweets and Christmas caps for the seniors, but we are calling on more people to come through,” says Mokubung.
The centre is open for public visitation at any time.
