A gold VW GTI was stolen during a robbery at a dealership on First Street last Tuesday evening, says Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.
The complainant says he was on duty and was in the guardroom when two suspects suddenly appeared, told him to lie down and co-operate with them if he didn’t want to be shot.

The suspects then locked the guard in the guardroom before driving away.
When the complainant was eventually freed from the room by another security guard, they discovered the car had been stolen.
