A Geduld shop was robbed last Thursday afternoon by armed suspects who came into the shop pretending to be customers.
Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the complainant and his co-worker were in the shop when a red Hundai i20 with registration number BG45 BMGP came and parked along Eight Avenue, a few meters away from the shop.
Two suspects came out of the vehicle and went inside the shop.

One pretended to be buying something while the other suspect suddenly took out a pistol and pointed it at the complainant.
The other victim was also pushed behind the counter and both were instructed to lie down.
The two suspects started loading cigarettes in a black bag they were carrying.
One tried to open the till but could not manage to and asked the complaint to open it for him of which he did.

Cash of about R2 500, cigarettes valued at R4 000 and the complainant’s cellphone valued at R4 000 were all taken.
The vehicle came closer to the door and one suspect came out and called the two inside and returned to the vehicle and they followed him and got into the vehicle, before driving off towards Impala.
