The Nigel Regional Court sentenced Mzwandile Khumalo to 30 years in prison on Thursday.
This comes after he killed Falakhe Sibiya Sithole (29) at point blank range.
In addition to the murder charge, Khumalo was also found guilty of robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
