Klipsop Kombuis keeping residents warm

Klipsop Kombuis always willing to help

Kathleen and Elliot Mngomezulu’s Klipsop Kombuis in Geduld recently registered as an NPO and is striving to make a difference in their community.

The two prepare delicious soup in bulk that they deliver to areas in need around Springs.Kathleen says the kitchen feeds around 500 people every day.

More than 2 000 litres of soup was distributed to various townships this week and these were collected by members of the Sithandizingane Care Project.

Deliveries are done on a Monday and Tuesday.They also deliver soup to residents in the Markville Flats.During level five lockdown, soup was distributed to shelters for homeless people.

Kathleen says: “You know, everyone is suffering during this lockdown period and we just really want to help.

“I think it can uplift the people to know that there are others here who are willing to help them.”
