Couple no longer have to bath in cold water

Burger says he is very happy that the installation was a success and that the two no longer have to bath in cold water.

Help4Souls bought and installed a brand new geyser for a Springs couple on Tuesday.

Rienie Dring and Morgan Dring were forced to bath in freezing cold water for the past six months after their geyser broke.

The couple’s geyser broke due to wear and tear, and they were unable to afford a new one as they live off of Sassa grants.

Adriaan took note of their plight when he was delivering food to them one afternoon.

“I went into their kitchen and saw this large bucket of water on the floor. I asked them what it was and they said they pour bowling water in there, which they then use to bath as their geyser had broken months ago.

“I thought this was unacceptable that these people had to suffer like this and immediately called as many people as I could.”

Burger reached out to Orbet Makonyere who owns a local hardware store to purchase a geyser at a good price.

Makonyere said he was more than happy to do the installation free of charge along with his friend, Sammy Samala.

The installation was a success and Makonyere says he was glad to be involved and that helping the elderly couple was a noble cause.

Burger says Morgan and Rienie were overjoyed with gratitude and broke down in tears.

Rienie says Burger had saved their lives through their kind actions.
