
An intelligence driven operation led the police to a house in Hlabane Street where two suspects were found in possession of explosives and cash on Friday morning.
Upon their arrival, in an outside room, they found a man and a woman aged 34 and 25 respectively, and police requested to search the premises.

According to Capt Kay Makhubela, of Gauteng SAPS, during the search officers found 44 blasting cartridges, one roll of detonating cord, four connector cord fuse and more than R100 000 cash.
Both suspects were arrested.

They appeared in the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
