Store robbed by bogus police officers

Bogus cops rob Ermelo Road store

An Ermelo Road store was robbed last Saturday afternoon by criminals masquerading as police officers.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora explained that four men, wearing civilian clothing, entered the store and told staff they were there to check if the store was complying with the ban on the sale of cigarettes.

Two of the men each pulled out a gun and took the staff members to the back of the store, where they were tied up.
