Springs Police are investigating a case of murder.
This is after the body of a man was found last Wednesday afternoon next to the railway lines in Modder East.
Capt Johannes Ramphora, spokesperson for Springs police, says the SAPS received a tip-off about a murder near Kerkenberg Road.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found an empty blue car and proceeded to search the area.
They found a man lying on his stomach in a ditch.
The man was bleeding profusely from the back of his head and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Ramphora says it appeared the man had either been shot or hit with a sharp object.
