Public comes together to pay Vita Nova’s electricity bill

More than R50 000 raised to pay for Vita Nova's electricity bill

The lights will stay on at the Vita Nova Centre, thanks to the kindness and generosity of members of the public who donated money to help pay the centre’s electricity bill.

Vita Nova has been severely affected by the lockdown as it receives the majority of its revenue from fund-raising events.

The centre has, throughout lockdown, received donations of essential items such as blankets and toiletries from caring individuals, organisations and businesses.

It was also generous members of the public who helped when the centre was unable to pay a massive electricity bill incurred over the past few months.

More than 43 Springsites and former residents donated an amount of R54 650.

In addition to thanking these individuals, Vita Nova is grateful to Gail Anne Brosnihan, who kindly donated Christmas lights and decorations valued at R40 000.
