Illegal miner arrested during SAPS operation

Springs SAPS station commander Brig Thembeka Gwebushe applauded the police members involved for rooting out crime in the area.

Springs police conducted an operation focused on illegal mining last Tuesday which led to the arrest of one man.
According to local SAPS spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora, alongside the arrest, police also confiscated 10 picks, seven water pumps, 19 spades, five wheelbarrows and one panga.

The equipment was confiscated from various parts of Springs.
