Woman shot several times in Slovo Park

The motive for the killing is not yet known.

Two men shot and killed a 39-year-old woman in Tanzania Street, Slovo Park, on Thursday afternoon, said Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.
According to the statement given to police, the victim’s daughter was in the yard when her mother left to visit her neighbour.
Upon seeing the woman, the gunmen, who had been standing in the street outside the house, drew their firearms and approached her.

Despite the daughter’s attempts to warn her mother about the imminent danger, one of the men started shooting at the woman, while the other pushed the daughter out of the way and also fired shots.
The deceased fell in the middle of the street.
The gunmen fled the scene on foot and 14 empty 9mm cartridges were found on the scene.
The motive for the killing is not yet known.
