Timbercity hires locals to help alleviate the impact to lockdown

Timbercity Springs has taken it upon themselves to relieve the impact of lockdown by employing locally.
Over the period of lockdown, the company employed over 15 members of the Springs community, including residents from Geduld, Payneville and Kwa-Thema.

Senior manager Shakar Beharie said: “We are getting new applications every day, and we go through each of them.
“While so many people are suffering, it feels good knowing 70 families are depending on us during lockdown.
“They have been working hard from the moment they were employed and have shown me that hard work brings about success.”
