WLast Saturday, Da Mark the World Needs South Africa (DaMark) hit the streets of Springs armed with a message of love and change, along with 300 parcels of food.
The organisation runs feeding schemes and outreach programmes aimed at supporting the most impoverished and destitute communities in the country.

Through their outreach programmes they aim to provide a platform for locals to give back to the community in any way, shape or form they are able to.
“DaMark plans to empower people by educating them, and then assisting them to attain employment.
“In essence, DaMark seeks to teach people how to feed themselves because then they will never need to be fed again; in fact, they will be able to start feeding others,” said the organisation.
They worked in collaboration with Mercyland International Christian Centre and TNM Gardening and Maintenance Services to make the day a success.

Speaking on the day, Past Oyinloluwa Eseh from Mercyland International Christian Church said it was great partnering with an organisation looking to make a difference in the world.
“We have to look after each other as brothers and sisters.
“In the Bible it says do unto others as you would like done unto you, and we know people are struggling to put food on the table and Covid-19 has only made it worse.
“Today, we were able to bring some hope and joy to our brothers and sisters less fortunate than us,” said Eseh.
