A Bakerton man was assaulted after he caught three robbers in the act of breaking into a room on his property.
The incident took place last Monday morning.
According to local police, the victim was watching TV when he heard a commotion outside.
He went to investigate and saw the men breaking into his tenant’s room.

Upon spotting the victim, the robbers ordered him to stay inside the house and struck his door and window with a brick.
Once they were done in the tenant’s room, the robbers broke into the victim’s house and assaulted him.
They took his TV and cellphone and ran off into Gugulethu informal settlement.
