Lana happy to be rolling again

Lana Visser of the Springs Town Bowling Club is excited to be competing again.

Lana Visser of the Springs Town Bowling Club is excited to be competing again.
This after her and her teammates participated in an inter district bowling tournament in Edenvale last weekend.
“It was amazing and I really enjoyed being out on the green again. Our team performed really well,” she said.
The 12-year-old achieved her provincial colours for bowling earlier this year in the u-15 category.

While she did not have many opportunities to compete when the country was in lockdown, she is now hoping to be able to compete every month in preparation for the nationals, which are scheduled for early next year.
“I would still love to see more of my peers joining the club because bowling is quite fun. Everyone should try it at least once, I really think they’ll like it,” she said.
Lana’s whole family plays bowls and her six-year-old sister is the youngest member of the club.
