Two women were caught by surprise when three men walked into the yard of their Tenth Avenue home in Welgedacht and proceeded to rob them last Friday afternoon.
One of the women told police she was sitting outside with her friend watching the children play when the men opened the gate, walked in and asked for money.

When the woman told them she doesn’t have any money, one of the men pulled out a gun and forced the woman, her friend and the children inside the house.
Once inside, the men started searching the house for valuables and took R1 000 and a cellphone.
The robbers then locked everyone inside the house and fled.
