Motorists warned to be careful

Sinkhole forming in Daggafontein Road

Motorists are warned about a sinkhole that is forming in Lammergeyer Road in Daggafontein, next to Kwasa College.
AfriForum Springs chairperson Cornel Swart discovered the hole while driving.

“The hole is about 2m in diameter and between 2m to 2.5m deep. Water is eroding the inside of the hole.
“The road surface will collapse and could cause serious damage to property and person alike,” said Swart.
Swart said he had been in touch with the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) and suggested the road be closed.
He added the CoE responded that the roads department would inspect the road.
