The DA in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) has condemned the fatal shooting of a waste management employee at the Springs Solid Waste Depot on January 19.

The DA in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) has condemned the fatal shooting of a waste management employee at the Springs Solid Waste Depot on January 19.
The incident has had a traumatic emotional and psychological impact on all employees of the depot.
The situation was not aided by the long-waiting period for government pathological services to arrive to attend the scene.

Waste services could, therefore, not occur in the Springs, Kwa-Thema and the surrounding areas, with the department asking for Tuesday’s areas to take out their bins on Wednesday for collection.
The DA supports the department’s decision to arrange psychological therapy to all affected workers as soon as possible and sent condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased.
