One of the recipients whos balance was paid, Nqobile Skhosana, did not have the words to express her gratitude.

A group of 12 parents cried tears of joy on Friday morning when they found out the Springs Mall paid off their lay-by payments at Pep.
The mall’s Pep store manager, Emma Lesia, said they were approached by the mall’s management who requested to pay the balance of the lay-by payments of school supplies.
“I was very happy when the mall approached us.
“It goes to show that there are still good people who are willing to help, especially at this time of the year,” she said.

One of the recipients who’s balance was paid, Nqobile Skhosana, did not have the words to express her gratitude.
“I bought the school uniforms and clothes on lay-by last year, hoping I would have been able to pay it off before Christmas Day.
“I wasn’t expecting this from the mall today, but it will make a big difference to me and my children.
“It has restored my faith that there are still good people in the world,” she said.
Springs Mall marketing manager Amorét D’Arrigo said the mall wanted to give back to the community.

“It has been a difficult year for many and we wanted to help.
“What better way to do so than to help hardworking parents get the necessary school supplies for their children?
“No child should go without and as Springs Mall, we wanted to help them start the new academic year with all the necessary supplies.
“These parents can now focus on helping their children prepare for the exciting new chapter in their lives, knowing they have all they need,” said D’Arrigo.
