Springs police have opened an inquest docket after a body was found in a veld on Stofberg Avenue on Monday afternoon.
Police said a member of the community came upon human remains and called the police.

The bones were scattered all over and it was difficult to determine if the body was male or female.
Only the upper body had clothing on, a grey T-shirt and black trousers.
