Tony da Cruz’s love for his town and history has led him to create the popular Facebook page, Springs – History of a Gold Town.
Da Cruz uses archival photos from past Addie editions to tell the story of the town’s past.

1970 – Little Theatre. The prancing Springboks bronze in the front gardens. In the early ’90s, a leg was sawn off one of the antelopes by a vandal and a few weeks later, the bronze disappeared overnight.
