Springs SAPS members promoted

“I find this day important. I have to honour them because they have done well in achieving their roles,” said Gwebushe.

Newly promoted police officers at the Springs Police Station recently received their sergeant epaulettes from station commander Brig Thembeka Gwebushe.
Gwebushe said it is a special day for the new sergeants and she is proud to appoint them to serve their communities.

“I find this day important. I have to honour them because they have done well in achieving their roles,” said Gwebushe.
She said in terms of crime prevention, there will be a change since they have promoted new sergeants.
“The community in Springs will feel safer because of the motivated new sergeants. I believe their style of work will also change for the better.
“I am expecting the level of discipline to improve and them to have a good relationship with the community. If that is in place, issues of crime will decrease because of the motivated members,” said Gwebushe.
