Female officers promoted at Springs SAPS

The management of Springs Police Station announced the promotions of three officers on Thursday.
The station’s commander Brig Thembeka Gwebushe congratulated the officers.
“When a child is born, as parents we have a lot of expectations for them. We pray and ask God to help them to reach those milestones.
“But growth does not happen without hard work. I am always privileged and proud when our members are promoted because it means that we are all growing together,” she said.
Marelize Beeslaar, who was a warrant officer was promoted to captain in the Germiston Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS).

Ester Claassens was also promoted to captain in the supply chain department in Elsburg.
While Lt Col Trudeen Burger, who was a detective, will remain at the Springs Police Station.
Brig Gwebushe all encouraged other officers to keep applying for other positions.

Springs SAPS station commander Brigadier Thembeka Gwebushe honored the newly promoted officers in the ceremony on Thursday afternoon.

“As much as it is hard on us that the two officers are leaving to other stations, we are proud that we were able to groom them. I know that you will do well where you are going. Remember that everything is about the community,” she added.
The officers expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to serve their communities through the SAPS.
