Patel Sports walks away with victory

“Patel Sports performed very well against Turkey Legends with an impressive win. Turkey legends lost by seven runs.”

Springs cricket team Turkey Legends played against Patel Sports from Johannesburg on January 15 in the final of the SPL League at Pollak Park.
Javid Patel said the game went well and they were happy that the weather made everything possible.

“The pitch was a bowler’s heaven in the afternoon when it was a bit gloomy, but when the sun came out, the pitch was suited to the batsmen. Everybody who came brought positive vibes and we tried our best to make sure everything ran smoothly,” said Patel.

“Turkey Legends put up a target of 139. Patel Sports replied with 132,” said Patel.

The teams battled it out at Pollak Park.

The top scorer was Ridwan Khalia with 50. Patel said they are happy with how they started the tournament.
All the matches will resume from Sunday at different sports grounds in Johannesburg. The tournament is free for spectators and there will be food stalls, entertainment, security, and parking.
