Springs club head to the finals
“The guys worked so hard to be where they are. I am proud of them and know they are still going to make us proud,” said Chapman.
On February 26, St Helen’s Vulture Springs Club played a league semi-final home game against Pretoria.
The team played at the Olympia Park Stadium and won by one point, with a final score of 25-24.
Head coach Alan Chapman described the game as a tough one but was happy the team won the match.
“It was really a great game. Even though there were a couple of mistakes, the guys showed up and put their hearts in the match to win,” said Chapman.

The team is looking forward to the finals and hopefully winning the league.
“The guys worked so hard to be where they are. I am proud of them and know they are still going to make us proud,” said Chapman.
He said because of the semi-final nerves, he understood why the game was intense because everyone wanted to make it to the finals.

“I am happy I also calmed down and told them to enjoy the game. We know what we need to do this time around, especially with ball-holding. We will learn at the training what the game plan will be for the final,” he said.
Chapman said they are in it to win it with their strong unity. It will also be a home ground advantage for the team, and with them sticking together and showing character, they promise to take the league.
“A massive shoutout to the supporters who came to show us love during the match. We are thankful they stuck with us. We cannot wait to see them again, especially at the finals,” he said.
The finals will take place on March 5 at the Springs Rugby Stadium.
