Couple celebrates 60 years together
“We are blessed and grateful to still have our parents with us. They are keeping love, laughter, hope and peace alive.”
Eddie and Joey Dalziel celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 10.
Their daughter, Hester de Villiers, said they lived in Nigel before moving to Stilfontein. Her mother is a housewife and their father worked as a qualified boilermaker all his life.
“We moved from Stilfontein to Barberton, and after a couple of years, my dad accepted a job in Carletonville, where we moved to East Driefontein mine.
“We moved back to Springs in 1986. My father worked at Mondi Board Mills for years. He resigned at Mondi and started working at Lever Brothers, where he retired at 70,” said de Villiers.
She said they grew up in a warm, loving and respectful home and stood together as a family.
