Three wins for Springs Rugby Club

Springs Rugby Club on a winning streak.

Three sides from the Springs Rugby Club had an outstanding day on Saturday when they beat Boksburg Rugby Club on their home ground.
The day started with the U21 side beating Boksburg 17-5. The second team then won 31-0. The first team had an outstanding game beating Boksburg 61-17. The half time score was 35-5.
Andre Smit converted eight of the nine tries scored. Leon Potgieter scored three tries and CJ Straus scored two.
Thinus Ueckerman, Thabo Tau, Shaun Matsane and Gerhard Jordaan each scored a try.
The Man of the Match was Straus.

The Springs’ first team will start the second round of the Perigrine League unbeaten.
The second round starts on June 4 with a home game against Veereniging. Kick off times are 13:15 for the U21’s, 14:45 for the second team and 16:00 for the first team.
“We as a club are proud to be part of the Springs community and are gearing up for our 100th year celebration in 2023. The Springs Youth side will be starting shortly and we welcome all young players to the club,” said club chairperson Paul Charlton.
