Scouts have a blast at rhino camp

The Scouts had an educational weekend while helping to raise funds for an organisation close to their hearts.

The Springs Central Air Scouts attended the rhino camp over the weekend.

This formed part of the initiatives aimed at raising funds for the Insimbi Legacy Projects, as well as providing an educative experience for the Scouts.

The learners learnt to shoot at targets, do rhino tracking and protection as well as basic survival tactics. They also went for game drives.

Trip scouter, Melissa Campbell, said the children enjoyed themselves and couldn’t wait to go back.

“We would also like to thank the community for supporting the scouts. Even with the other fundraising initiatives, they never let us down,” she said.

The Scouts have raised R10 500 for Insimbi.
