Springs resident en route to the crown of Mrs SA 2023

The Mrs South Africa pageant will allow Faith Chuma to show young girls that it's never too late to stop dreaming.

Springs’ very own Faith Chuma can now add Mrs South Africa Semi-Finalist to her impressive resume as she joins the pageant’s class of 2023. Faith received the good news on Friday after the national casting event at Emperors Palace.

Following the announcement, the semi-finalists took part in a jam-packed two-day conference filled with motivational talks, workshops, upskilling sessions, socialising and networking opportunities, and an introduction to the famous Mrs SA sisterhood.

“To say I was overjoyed would be an understatement; I felt blessed and honoured as if the heavens were smiling down on me,” Faith said.

Sharing more about her decision to enter, Faith says that for her, this was a journey of self-discovery, to find out who Faith is, to experience growth and self-development, and to show her daughter and other young girls that look up to her that it is never too late to follow your dreams.

“Winning Mrs SA would be a dream come true for me. It would be proof that it is never too late to go for your dreams and that anything is possible in this world, as long as you believe that you can do it.”

As part of her journey, she hopes to inspire young girls and to be a voice of hope.

“This year, the casting panel was looking for women who have a keen interest in empowering others, display strong family values, and are passionate about making a difference in their community and the world,” said Faith.

Joani Johnson, CEO of Mrs SA, added that Faith fully embodies the values that the pageant holds dear and is representative of its Every Woman tagline for the year.

“We look forward to going on this journey with her and her fellow sisters,” said Johnson.

Mrs SA is a self-discovery and empowerment programme that celebrates diversity, ambition, and confidence while showcasing some of the country’s most phenomenal and talented women and giving them the skills and tools needed to achieve their dreams. Faith’s journey can be followed on her social media pages.
