Singer and model Thatohatsi Raphadu (19) from Payneville Springs is kicking her musical career off on a high note.

This comes after she made waves on various social media platforms following a video of her singing during a studio recording in Sandton.

“The video received a favourable response from a wide audience including various industry names such as Tyler ICU and Mas Musique to name a few, and has since been circulating on social media,” explains Thatohatsi.

She is a Grade 12 learner at Springs Secondary School and this milestone has gained her a significant number of followers both on social media as well as in her school and the community.

She intends on developing her skills and widening her career while furthering her studies.

“The plan is to become a change and inspiration in society, and, most importantly, I want to be the living proof to other aspiring artists that anything and everything is possible. Dreams do come true.”

The TikTok video which gained a favourable 200K views and is still growing, has also placed her in a position of being approached by people she has always wished to work with.

The songstress, who has a strong musical background (singing in the church choir and participating in various community initiatives in performing arts), is grounded by the concept of family, respect and working tirelessly to achieve her goals.

Thatohatsi plans to release a single following the favourable impression she created on social media.

“The debut single is entitled Xolele and features the likes of Ntando Yamahlubi, Vesta SA, Mphoet and Blaqnote SA. The single will be made available to all major music sites next month,” she added.

Fans and supporters can keep in touch with Thatohatsi on her social media platforms for updates on tours and music releases.
