EMPD’s responding unit recovers a hijacked vehicle in Springs
An abandoned, hijacked motor vehicle was recovered by the EMPD in Springs on Wednesday.
On March 29, the EMPD First Responder Unit (FRU) recovered an abandoned hijacked vehicle at the corner of Vlakfontein and Witpoort roads.
While on patrol in Springs, the officers noticed a white Hyundai Atos parked suspiciously at the intersection with no occupants inside.
Upon investigation, they discovered the vehicle had been hijacked in Tsakani.
The vehicle was towed to SAPS Van Ryn Deep Vehicle Pound for further investigation.
No arrests have been made.
