Power supply interruption in Springs

The City of Ekurhuleni confirmed that it is aware of a power outage affecting parts of Springs.

This is said to be due to multiple suspected cable faults.

“Officials have been dispatched to investigate and restore the power,” explains Zweli Dlamini, the metro’s spokesperson.

Affected areas include:
*Pollakpark
*Reedville
*Wrightpark
*Fulcrum
*Mpact
*Isover and
*New Era industrial area.

“The estimated restoration time will be communicated once all tests have been completed.

“In addition, areas such as Welgedacht, Persida and Slovo Park are also out until 17:00 due to planned maintenance by Eskom.

“In both cases, customers are urged to treat all electrical networks as live at all times,” he added.
