Celebrating Vita Nova’s family fun day

Vita Nova raised funds for its home for mentally and physically challenged residents.

Vita Nova Centre celebrated its family fun day on Saturday with a host of fun-filled family activities.

The centre put on a range of family-friendly activities to help bring the community together to learn about cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and autism.

The aim was to raise funds and increase awareness for those with mental and physical impairments.

IsiZulu (yellow), SeSotho (blue), Swazi (red), and IsiXhosa (black) served as this year’s theme.

Learners from various schools were in attendance, including Springs Girls High School, Veritas College and Pinegrove Primary School.

Vita Nova Centre’s director Michelle Immelmann said the event was a success and the support the centre received was overwhelming.

“Everyone who attended had a great time on our day,” said Immelman.

“Thank you to everyone who also contributed to our event.”
