Springs Striders invites everyone to their charity run

Everyone is invited to bring their loved ones for some healthy fun.

The Springs Striders Athletics Club is hosting a Nelson Mandela Charity Run on July 30.

This run is aimed at raising funds and gathering much-needed items for the Springs Catholic Church NPO, Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.

There are two route options – the 5km and 10km trails. The event will be held at Veritas College High School.

Striders secretary, Kim Westley, says all are welcome to come and have fun for a worthy cause.

“Everyone is welcome. You don’t have to run, you can walk and even crawl the trail,” says Kim.

The ‘entrance fee’ is any non-perishable items that will go towards SSVP’s soup kitchen and family food parcels for the less fortunate.

For more information on the event, contact Kim at 072 396 8460.
