Great cricket at the SPL T20 Winter Knockout Tournament when Cape wins by six wickets

The ZTC Springs Premier League hosted its T20 Winter Knockout Tournament over the weekend.

The ZTC Springs Premier League (SPL) hosted T20 Winter Knockout Tournament Edition 3 over the weekend at the Springs Old Boys Cricket Stadium.

Javid Patel, event organiser citied that the tournament is the biggest event in Gauteng. Despite the cold, Turky Legends played against the Cape Champions from Actonville.

The Cape Champions won the toss and elected to field first, reaching 180 for four in 19.5 overs.

Turky Legends chased the score but failed to reach it and were out for 177/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

  • Faizal Bemat – 54 of 44 balls.
  • Sakil Manjra – 53 of 27 balls.

Best bowlers for Cape Champions

  • Temba Mavupa – four overs, 27 runs, and three wickets.
  • Ali Akhalawaya – four overs, 32 runs, and three wickets.

Best batters for Cape Champions

  • Ghulam Bodhi – 72 runs from 56 balls.
  • Mohammed Manack – 39 runs from 22 balls.

Best bowlers for Turky Legends

  • Irfan Hansrod – two overs, 27 runs, and two wickets.

The Cape Champions won by six wickets.All teams are playing for a trophy to be won on August 20.
