Local toy company gives back

The company's founders hail from the community of Bakerton.

Local company, Amazing Toys Africa, sponsored Bakerton Primary School with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) toys on August 31.

The company, which specialises in robotics and coding toys, gave the learners the toys to educate them through play.

They aim to help learners to enhance their critical and logical thinking skills. Three brothers who hail from Bakerton recently found the company.

“We started with Bakerton Primary School as we believe charity begins at home,” said one of the brothers, Duran Rajpal.

“Our aim and mission is to bring innovative ways of teaching into the South African classroom to assist learners to learn in the best ways they possibly can,” said Mishen Rajpal, another brother.

The school’s deputy principal, Nalini Naidoo, expressed her gratitude and that of the school towards the gesture.

“We feel so blessed and honoured by the awesome sponsor. We do not doubt that their gesture will benefit our learners during the implementation of coding and robotics at our school.

“We look forward to the fourth term where learners will be interacting with these toys. Thank you and we pray that their company with prosper and be a blessing to other schools as well,” she said.
