Royalty visit Blesbokspruit
The royals are completing their three-day visit in the country.
The king and queen of the Netherlands graced the Blesbokspruit Wetland Reserve with a royal visit today (October 18).
According to an official statement, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima’s visit aligns with their planned three-day itinerary, which includes a visit to the Apartheid Museum and a meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The royals arrived promptly in the morning with their entourage.
Ekurhuleni’s Executive Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana and other officials greeted them.

The officials took them on an exclusive tour around the wetland, where they observed the hyacinth project.
The royal couple also met two organisations, Ecoera and Thekga, which have joined the fight to deal with the invasive plant and create jobs in the process.
