Gingers Golf Day a warm success
The monthly event held at Pollack Park Golf Course had some humorous twists.
The monthly Gingers Day was held at Pollak Park Golf Course on Saturday. The golfers took full advantage of the course and the hot weather to partake in the event.
“The course is in wonderful condition and everyone had a most enjoyable round, except for Jayden (Gould) who hit every tree and found every bunker,” muses local golfer Harvey Scott.
The results of the day are as follows:
- First place: Dylan Pinkerton (41 points).
- Second place: Steve Jeffery (36 points).
- Third place: Annamari Meyer (36 points).
- Milk Tart Doubles was won by Dylan and Iain Pinkerton.
- King of the shorts was won by Cameron Murray.
- Longest drive was won by Rob Bryans.
- Nearest the pin was won by Kyle Roberson.
- Nearest the pin for two on the 14th hole was won by Steve Jeffery.
“This is a new prize for the not so long hitting guys that knew they’d never win the longest drive competition,” explained Harvey.
The Longest Day trophy went to Jayden Gould.
“Someone must win this fantastic trophy and display it at home with pride, or not,” laughed Harvey.
