Springs Bhairavi Sungum again honours senior citizens

The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs is looking forward to hosting senior citizens on its 30th annual 'Day with Our Elderly Parents' on December 3.

The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs will host its 30th annual ‘Day with Our Elderly Parents’ on December 3, at the Bakerton Community Centre at 11.30.

The chairlady of the Sungum Poovershree Pillay said they are honoured to be hosting the prestigious event after a lengthy break since Covid-19.

“We are extremely privileged to once again serve the senior citizens of Bakerton,” said Pillay.

The event aims to show their appreciation to all senior citizens of Bakerton for their contribution to the upliftment and development of their community.

The day’s programme will start with a cultural presentation at the luncheon, followed by tea and cakes, and end with the presentation of gifts.

There will be plenty of entertainment, competitions, songs, dances, and prizes to be won.

“The Sungum ensures that this 30th anniversary ‘Day with the Our Elderly Parents’ will be a memorable one,” said Pillay.

“We look forward to spending time with our seniors.”
