Trio on the run after stealing cables
The Springs SAPS is investigating a case of business robbery after three men stole electrical cables and other valuables.
Three armed men are on the run after allegedly stealing electrical cables at a business premises in New Area on April 4.
Springs SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Themba Tshabalala said the driver of the company noticed men entering the premises when he returned from a delivery.
“The driver alleged the men pointed a firearm at him and then tied him and the rest of the staff up,” said Tshabalala.
“The three men searched the premises for valuables.”
Tshabalala added the intruders instructed the driver and his manager to load electrical cables for machines onto their company vehicle.
The three fled the scene with a Nissan Navara with registration number CG 07 KK GP, two laptops, an undisclosed amount of cables, and a TV.
No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained.
