Exploring science: A day of discovery at Enderun College

The school endevours to teach its learners in new and practical ways.

Enderun College hosted an engaging science day for its Grade Eight and Nine learners, filled with exciting activities aimed at exploring various aspects of science recently.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from learners who delved into the mysteries of the solar system, constructed atomic models and experimented with electric circuits.

The day kicked off with an opening ceremony and warm welcome, setting the stage for an immersive journey into the realms of science.

Divided into three groups, learners embarked on a rotation through three stations: the solar system, atomic model constructions and electric circuits.

From learning about atoms to the solar system, the learners’ day was filled with adventure.

At the solar system station, students watched captivating videos that offered glimpses into the vastness of space, igniting their curiosity about the celestial bodies that inhabit our cosmic neighbourhood.

Over at the atomic model construction station, learners received hands-on experience building models, gaining insights into the fundamental building blocks of matter and the structure of atoms.

Throughout the day, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement as learners actively engaged in the activities, asking questions, collaborating with peers and making discoveries. As the day finished, learners came together to tidy up the stations.

It was evident that the day had been a resounding success, with learners expressing their enjoyment and appreciation for the interactive learning journey that had embarked upon. Science Day at the college proved to be not only educational but also a source of fun and inspiration.
