Slovo Park school receives donation of bricks

The bricks will aid in the building of toilet facilities for learners in Grade R.

Slovo Park’s Vukugcinge Primary School received 4 000 bricks from a local brick supplier on April 24.

The donated bricks will aid in building toilet facilities for the Grade R learners.

School principal Zakhele ka Seme said the toilets for boys and girls will be built to provide privacy and convenience.

“The school has 138 grade R learners in three classes and is still awaiting the approval of the fourth class from the department since the learners are overcrowded,” said ka Seme.

“We are very happy for the donation from the company.

“I hope that other businesses in Springs will be able to contribute to the school, particularly by building multipurpose sports facilities for our learners.”

Sam Mntungwa, the company’s community liaison officer (CLO), said they were delighted to have partnered with Vukugcinge, adding that they will continue assisting with the school’s needs.
