The Springs Striders Athletics Club has welcomed the start of the Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) cross-country season.

The club’s various running groups participated in the first CGA cross-country league in Tsakani recently.

The results from the league are:

Top 3 finish
*Liane van Nieuwenhuizen – Ladies 35+
*Brian Currie – Mens 75+

Top 10 finish
*Kara Beytell – Girls U13
*Sion Schoultz – Boys U9
*Miah van Nieuwenhuizen – Girls U10
*Elaine Beytell – Ladies 40+
*Buks Saaiman – Mens 65+

Top 20 finish
*Mfanafuthi Ngwenya – Boys U14
*Oratilwe Boikanyo – Boys U12
*Anushka Herbst – Girls U12
*Mihlan Moodie – Girls U12
*Alejandro Duvenage – Boys U10
*Alissa Wolmarans – Girls U10
*Alex Beasley – Boys U12
