Mining sector gathers for inter-mines sports tournament

Gold One Mine is gearing up to host the highly anticipated inter-mines top eight soccer and netball tournament this Saturday.

The inter-mines tournament is renowned for bringing together professionals from various mines. Teams from different mining houses across four provinces, namely Gauteng, Limpopo, North-West, and Mpumalanga, will participate.

“This tournament aims to foster camaraderie among mining employees and create opportunities for diverse networking and meaningful relationship building,” said Chris Nchabeleng, from the sports committee.

“The event also aims to promote physical and mental well-being and a healthy work-life balance outside the immediate work environment.”

Nchabeleng emphasised that the inter-mines tournament is more than just a sports event; it’s a celebration of unity, wellness, and success in the mining sector.

The tournament will take place at Hoërskool Hugenote from 09:00 to 16:00.
